WEATHERFORD, Texas – June 30, 2023 - The National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA) in support of the NSBA Foundation is proud to announce the fifteen nominees for the 2023 Dianne Eppers Cowgirls ROC Award.

Cowgirls ROC recognizes womens’ involvement in support of efforts across our show horse industry by giving of their time, talent or treasure. In its second year, the award recognizes women across the equine industry through a nomination process by their peers who serve on the NSBA and NSBA Foundation board of directors.

Three tenants are the core attributes that are recognized by the award created in 2022 by the NSBA Foundation, Cowgirls ROC (Cowgirls - Reaching Out in the Community):

  • Celebrating the accomplishments of female NSBA members that serve and impact the show horse community most,
  • Celebrating our female donors that help us carry the work of the Foundation to our members, and finally
  • Celebrating the diversity, inclusion of and contributions of all member voices to our NSBA membership.

Fifteen women will to be recognized as nominees for the Cowgirls ROC at a luncheon to be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 12, 2023 during the NSBA World Championship Show. This year’s winner will also be announced at that time.

“The nominees are just a sampling of the incredible women of our industry,” noted NSBA Executive Director, Stephanie Lynn. “They are the backbone of success for countless horsemen and horsewomen across disciplines, breeds and ages. What they all share is a passion for sharing their love of the horse through service to this industry.”
