GURNEE, Illinois – April 11, 2022 - The National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA), in support of the NSBA Foundation, announced today the addition of support from 4-Star Trailers, Inc. to advance the NSBA Youth of the Year community service award recognition and Susan Scott Memorial Scholarship.
The Youth of the Year Award recognizes youth who demonstrate dedication through volunteer work for a worthy cause. This award is presented annually by the NSBA Foundation to a deserving youth who has gone above and beyond to exhibit exemplary character in helping others through community service. The purpose is to promote and celebrate service work in our youth. The recipient will receive a $4,000 scholarship from the Susan Scott Memorial Fund. In addition to the scholarship, a $500 donation is made to a charity of choice in the winner’s name.
National Sales Manager for Oklahoma City based 4-Star Trailers, Lee Jones, commented, “Having an opportunity to be included in the work of the NSBA Foundation is a great representation of our commitment to the youth of the NSBA and the entire horse community.”
He went on to say “It also gives us an opportunity to remember and recognize Susan Scott and her family’s dedication to 4-Star for over 35 years. Encouraging young people to be involved in their communities, as well as advance their education, reflects both Susan’s and 4-Star’s commitment to being the best.”
