NSBA announced fee increases for yearlings enrolling in the Color Breeders Championship Futurity after May 15th of their yearling year and horses aged two to six years old enrolling in the Color Breeders Championship Futurity. Fees will increase from $750 to $1,000 beginning January 1, 2021 and will affect only horses enrolling after May 15th of their yearling year.

NSBA members who nominate their foals to the Breeders Championship Futurity and/or Color Breeders Championship Futurity increase the value of their stock by making them eligible for an additional $350,000 awarded annually in BCF classes at the World Championship Show each August. Since 2001, the Breeders Championship Show has awarded more than four million
dollars in earnings to NSBA members.

BCF and Color BCF enrolled foals also become eligible to participate in the NSBA Markel Insurance Breeders Championship Futurity Yearling Sale. Graduates of the sale are eligible for an additional purse that is divided equally among sale graduates who can show in a designated BCF or Color BCF class during their two year old or three year old year. 2021 will mark the sale and graduate program’s ninth year. Held annually at the NSBA World Show, the yearling sale graduates have been awarded $889,772 since the program began.
