The National Snaffle Bit Association is pleased to announce that three equestrians are being inducted into the NSBA’s prestigious Quarter Million Dollar Club. Tracy Fenney, Santiago Lambre and Sharn Wordley have all crossed the threshold of more than $250,000 in lifetime NSBA earnings in 2022.
Tracy Fenney
Tracy Fenney competed aboard the 11 year old Danish Warmblood mare MTM Apple for many of her winning performances at the World Equestrian Center-Ocala, including capturing the $75,000 Coca-Cola Grand Prix, the $75,000 Hampton Green Farm Grand Prix and the $20,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Grand Prix.
Tracy and her husband, trainer Mike McCormick, operate MTM Farm in Ocala. After purchasing property five years ago, the couple relocated from Flower Mound, Texas, last year to be closer to WEC-Ocala, which has allowed their training and horse sales business to thrive.
Sharn Wordley
Sharn Wordley has represented New Zealand in the Olympics and the Nation’s Cup and has been ranked among the top 50 riders in the world. He relocated from Lexington, Kentucky, to be based in Marion County, Florida once the World Equestrian Center-Ocala shows began. He has consistently been among the top riders since the facility opened.
He and the 18 year old Irish Sport Horse Gatsby have won such victories as the $75,000 Stella Artois Grand Prix and the $75,000 Captive One Advisors Grand Prix. Other horses he’s been aboard at WEC-Ocala include Casper, Valentine Car and Esmee.
Santiago Lambre
Brazilian-born Santiago Lambre represented Mexico in the Olympics, Pan American Games and the World Equestrian Games, and has found a new home at the World Equestrian Center-Ocala. He began competing at the World Equestrian Center-Ocala when it opened in 2021 and has had a pipeline of competitive horses coming from Mexico, where his brother, upper level competitor and trainer Rodrigo Lambre, develops show jumpers.
WEC-Ocala audiences are familiar with some of his mounts, including Comtess 202, with whom he has won the $75,000 Coors Light Grand Prix and the Adequan Grand Prix, as well as his successful horses Easy Girl, Dingeman, Chaco Blue II, Centano Van Aspergem and most recently All In Horses Cava.
The newest NSBA Quarter Million Dollar riders will be recognized prior to the start of the World Equestrian Center-Ocala’s Grand Prix on Saturday, March 26.
