Katy Jo Zuidema Reaches One Million In NSBA Earnings
National Snaffle Bit Association is pleased to announce that Katy Jo Zuidema, of Ocala, Florida, has become its newest member to achieve one million dollars in lifetime NSBA earnings. Katy Jo reached the milestone after placing fifth in The Madness Three Year Old and Over Maiden Horse Western Pleasure Futurity in May.
She becomes the fourth rider to reach one million dollars in earnings and the first female rider to do so, joining professional trainers Gil Galyean, Rusty Green and Jay Starnes.
Katy Jo grew up in the horse industry as the daughter of Wayne Davis, stepmother Judy Davis and mother Jan Johnson. She competed as a Youth exhibitor and began training and showing horses professionally in Michigan and later moved her training business with her husband, Tim, to Florida. She has excelled at training, coaching and showing both Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure horses. She achieved NSBA's Quarter Million Dollar Club in 2010.
She has won numerous futurities and classes at events such as the NSBA World Championship Show and the Breeders Championship Futurity, AQHA World Championship Show, Appaloosa World Championship Show, APHA World Championship Show and Breeders Trust, Reichert Celebration, Show For Dough, Little Futurity, Tom Powers Triple Challenge, Back To Berrien, The Premier, and the Quarter Horse Congress.

Katy Jo will be recognized during the NSBA Honors Banquet during the 2026 NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity in Tulsa, Oklahoma in August.
