The National Snaffle Bit Association’s tenth annual NSBA Markel Insurance Breeders Championship Futurity Yearling Sale set a new record for gross sales on Friday, August 19, as buyers and consigners saw big numbers throughout the night.

“NSBA had just a phenomenal sale,” noted Bill Kaven, NSBA sale manager. “We had a great group of yearlings from wonderful consignors and an active group of buyers for this year’s sale. It was our best one yet.”
The 2022 NSBA Markel Insurance Breeders Championship Futurity Yearling Sale generated an estimated purse of $210,995 that will be set aside for sale graduates who will compete either as two year olds in 2023 in a designated Breeders Championship Futurity two year old class, or as three year olds in 2024 in a designated Breeders Championship Futurity three year old class.
