The futurity classes at the. 2023 Madness finished with strong numbers in the Three Year Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure Futurity with 18 exhibitors competing for Non-Pro and Limited Non-Pro honors.
Tottie And Courtney Win Three Year Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure
Courtney Moses and Lopin Hottie Tottie loped their way to the win in the Non-Pro clas, earning $911.40.
“We bought Tottie from Charles and Angie Cannizzaro a couple of months ago. Brian Ale had shown her a couple of times,” Courtney said. “Charles and Angie bred and raised her. She’s by The Lopin Machine and out of Moonlite Ventures.
“She was so good out there, she did everything I asked her to do. She’s so naturally talented, and a great jogger. I’m so proud of her. We will be doing the Three Year Old Non-Pro classes with her the rest of this year.”
Becky Galyean and J Loww were the reserve champions in the class.

Johnny and Lisa Wilkes Take Limited Division
Melissa “Lisa” Wilkes and Lopin Like No Other earned third in the Non-Pro division and topped the Limited division.
“We bred and raised Johnny,” Lisa said. “He’s by The Lopin Machine and out of Lopin Southern Style. He’s her only foal, because we lost her to colic last year during the NSBA World Show. He’s a stallion. I’m careful with where we stand during the classes and the warm ups, but he’s so good minded and we just love him.
“This is my second time to show him, and he was very good. Our ride today was consistent and controlled.
Wade Parks showed him in the Coughlin Two Year Old Western Pleasure Futurity at the Quarter Horse Congress last year and was reserve in the Limited division. Wade loves him, and he loves Wade. Wade and Carly have done such a great job starting him.
“We plan to keep him because he’s the only piece of that mare that I have left. He’s a special horse. We will be showing him in Three Year Old Non-Pro and Amateur Select classes.”
